"Ajmal Kasab is dead"

            In one of the most remarkable turn of events of the year, Ajmal Kasab breathed his last at his residence in Arthur Road Jail. His health started to fail since the last two days and the doctors almost timed his demise to precision and hence there was this The Truman Show kind of coverage of his last two days. 

• Unconfirmed reports suggest that Al-Qaeda had sponsored the entire show on 50 of the 2456 National television news channels that covered the entire episode. 
• Film producers from across the country have already sought rights from the channels to make movies based on various aspects of the life of Ajmal Kasab.  
• 26/11 victim's grand kids from across Mumbai have begun celebrating and one such caught on News Channel Camera was seen saying "Patience and perseverance of the Long Arm of Indian Justice has given him the capital punishment in the best way possible." 
• Pakistan had sent its deepest condolences for the fact that it had just considered running an inquiry to establish Kasab's identity as a Pakistani but its rather unfortunate that he is no more.  As a quick response to Pakistan's statement, The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has released a statement "We are very happy on Pakistan's initiative and would like to commit that Kasab's body would be preserved till Pakistan completes its inquiry on finding his nationality."
• The entire Kasab's episode, journey and his existence in India has received very positive feedback from lots of terrorists and almost everyone are unanimous in their thoughts of shifting their terror base to India. When asked why, one was proud to state that "Here we get a lot of respect and concern and most importantly we can lead a dignified life as India's core value of Athithi Devo Bhava  is very much extended to us, if not all."

"A success for US in their war against terror as they find Weapons of Mass Destruction PHOTOS in N'Djamena, CHAD"

         In a major breakthrough for the US in about 60 years of their WAR AGAINST TERROR, they finally proved their posthumous critics wrong after unearthing "Original photocopies" of hundreds of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) photos. It is dubbed as the biggest haul by the US since the beginning of their war against terror that started way back in 2001, after the 9/11 attacks on the WTC twin towers. With this conquest of CHAD, one of the central part of the African Continent, US has just announced that "their hard work and strong goals in eradicating terrorism from the face of the Earth has just been rewarded soundly". This has instilled confidence in finding WMD in as soon as another 40 years. Highly placed sources quoting Intel reports suggested that now since entire Africa has been conquered sanitized by the US, they are almost certain that the WMD have been move to Europe or Asia by the Saddam Hussein loyalists. The US President is expected to fly to Ground Zero and make a speech from there, thanking all the 'wise minds' who've supported and stood beside them in this WAR AGAINST TERROR.

Facebook(ed)

            The world is changing at such a rapid pace be it the Governments of yesterday having become Ex-governments today, sporting records that stood for decades being toppled today to as simple as strangers yesterday to becoming 'Friends' today. 

             Doesn't the last one sound familiar to you?  Well, if it didn't, in a way its good that you are yet to become 'socially networked' and you may or may not read further on. But if it does then welcome aboard for the next few minutes on a look at how 'social' have we become. Social Networking has become abuzz since the past few years and as on date we can see companies, technologies and products are doing way more than one could have ever imagined a few years ago, in incorporating the habit of 'social networking' in all the possible ways in a common user's life. Lets have a look at what have we become, in the name of being 'socially' networked.

             Now why Facebook, of the hundreds of 'social networking websites'?  One - it has the largest user base, two - that's what is so popular in this part of the world and finally three - Orkut's dead!!!

• We are ready to be 'friends' virtually with those we may not know and may not even like in real.
• We invite scores of people to be our 'neighbors' but do not bother to even know whether our neighboring apartments are even occupied.
• We don't even show a "I liked it" face to our beloveds for the delicious food they cook for us to eat but then jump like a madman in expressing our 'like's when someone puts up an update stating that they just made coffee themselves.
• These days many feel so very thing about wishing people in-person for festivities citing countless reasons but instead would make all the time in 'google'ing for a good celebration pic and tagging countless of 'friends' and in the name of wishing,make the life of those who've signed up for notification updates via email, feel miserable after being flooded with emails of which not even 5% of those would be from someone whom they really know.
• Some people won't even check for their baggage or their accomplices (if any) first at the airport they land, but touch base with Facebook in updating their locations, some even update that in advance even before boarding their flights.
• We answer to "What's on your mind?" on Facebook, even multiple times a day but hardly feel like answering our loved ones who ask us the same with all sorts of care, concern and affection.
• Many a time we won't even budge a little and make all faces when asked to shop for the household and we either don't do it or do it very late however what not we all do in the name of 'Farming' on Facebook.
• Relationship status changes or re-emphasizing one's 'single'ness are effected mostly for attention grabbing rather than the emphasis of the underlying fact behind such status updations.
• Its understandable that the photo and video sharing are directed at getting likes, feedbacks, opinions, elations BUT sadly the focus is predominantly on HOW MANY people 'Like'd it and commented on it. With or without our knowledge it turns out to become an obsession and because of this people range from being upset on someone to even get to the level of un-'friend'ing someone just because they did not 'Like' or 'Comment'.

Having noticed all the above mentioned happenings, I could just say that FACEBOOK is a

The Greatest Indian Businessman

     I have heard a lot of rags-to-riches businessmen stories, who went onto become the greatest of all but did not think of someone as a role model to look upon until the time I saw this. Of course I have done nothing more than the fact of supposing him as my role model. However lately I had this sudden thought bolted in my mind (about another ONE, whom I have never looked upon this way before) which made me think again about this whole "Whom should I learn from and look upon?" stuff. Since that compelling thought within myself, I could not restrain myself from thinking about why "HE" definitely was/is/will be the Greatest Indian Businessman EVER (though he is successful world over, his grass roots are from India). Here are the strong reasons for why he's THE ONE.

• Some historical references elucidate that he was born to poor parents.
• He was a child prodigy in-fact a baby prodigy to be precise and people awed and oohed of his talent.
• His words of wisdom enlightened people's lives.
• His discourses on any subject as complied by his listeners were bestsellers in its own genres.
• He took up various roles at different timelines in widespread geographies to reach the masses.
• He never expressed interest in a business partnership with anyone but people thronged at his place for having him as a partner and he had never said no to anyone.
• There has only been growth and success stories of people who have had him as their partners and the World at large is an example for this.
• Though he professed on having faith on themselves and their skills, people have only increasingly had more faith on him instead and invested more of their time and money on him.
• No doubt he has the largest fan followers who are ready to do anything for him.
• He was the first and the most successful person in the history ever, to harness and sell beliefs to people.
• His selling potential beats the necessity for advertisements, promotions or marketing and the word of mouth reach has just been phenomenal and ever growing.
• His reach has been to all classes of economy and has not shown any discrimination to anyone, whomsoever.
• He does not have any specific headquarters and every establishment of his has always reaped benefits outstandingly well in all forms of financial exchanges by selling out beliefs, philosophies,  stories, souvenirs  etc.
• He has done business in a way what billions of others have not even imagined in their wildest dreams in-spite of age long strong speculation of him being mythological or factual. 
• In fact a few others have followed suit in this business model and have made their mark in their own manner and have been  examples of similar run away success stories in their own worlds.

    Though there are scores of people who have aspired and worked upon to be GOD, none have reached that pinnacle of success and hence the take away here for many budding entrepreneurs is to learn some of those "GODLY business principles", if not all and apply it in their own respective interests.

P.S. This was not a shot at the sentiments of any reader but purely an analogy derived out of something in practice.

Manmadan Ambu - A Review

      

The Cruise

• The first thing one would realize after a scene or two of watching this movie is the reason behind naming the movie Man Madan Ambu(Kamal Maddy Trisha) and truly the title has done justice to the movie.
• With the finesse in cinematography being uptrend in Indian movies these days,  Manush Nandan's work has truly lived up-to it and kept the standards high.
• Casting has been spot on and its just picture perfect. Be it the choice or the number of people right from Sangeetha's two kids and Urvasi-Ramesh Aravind pair to the Malayali Producer couple.
• Its a typical Devi Sri Prasad music score and he has just been what he is, nothing new or nothing different to the common listener.
• Gowthami has done a commendable job when it comes to costumes, be it Kamal (no surprises on that) or from Madhavan to Madhavan's dad and from Trisha and Sangeetha to Usha Uthup.
• Shan Mohammed has done a splendid role as the editor which peaks in the Neelavaanam song.
• The Obvious Show Stealer was Kamal Haasan
  
  • The first catch for me as a movie enthusiast is obviously his looks, ONE OF A KIND is just the phrase I can put forth to describe, he still is just so flawless in his acting and it would only be apt to call him The Sachin Tendulkar of the Indian Cinema.
  • His prowess at screenplay and dialog writing is just so fantastic and has made sure a lot of subtle yet powerful messages be conveyed at various occasions in the movie.
  • This movie had been yet another instance to showcase his trademark natural-tears-swelling-up-in-the-eyes scene.
• Maddy has delivered the suspicious big-shot role to the extent it made sure that no one else could have done that better.
• A divorced Sangeetha looked so laudable and natural, has fit the bill with her set of thoughtful and realistic snippets about the guys.
• Trisha has donned her role to the best that was expected out of her fitting rightly as an actress on screen.
• Its a sort of a different combination of genres for K.S.Ravikumar with a mix of humor, smartness with lack of flashy dialogs and he has indeed done justice to add as another feather to his directorial cap. 
• Lastly the song Neelavaanam has just held the audience awestruck literally with its one of first of its kind song portrayals in Indian Cinema. Was it an inspired thought from this or was it a coincidence is a questions to ponder.

The Hole(s)

• The feel of contentment and rejoice at the interval was reduced considerably while walking out of the theater at the end of credits.
• The sort of confusions and dialogs that were tried at around the last 20 mins of the movie had the shades of Panchathanthiram sans the similar thrill and enjoyment, maybe that's the difference between Crazy Mohan and Kamal Hassan.
• Trisha revealing her feelings for Kamal wherein her mix of feelings of guilt, pity and concern seemed to have been extrapolated to love without adequate validation and was like "Its not Maddy anymore and now its Kamal" and the confusions later did not make the situation any better.
• The Maddy-Sangeetha pairing up towards the end was like the director telling "Oh...so you two are left out, ok come on quick, pair up!!!"

Bottomline

        The Cruise was set on sail en-route an amazing destination with a superb and adventurous journey all throughout however with a few holes found here and there. Did the Cruise reach the destination with the holes covered up or did the holes leave the Cruise sink into the ocean, is left to the audience to decide upon !!!

'Hand'some People

          

          If you had been to an Indian wedding especially the South-Indian ones, you would have noticed that the feast would mostly be served on a large banana leaf. What’s more interesting is the fact on how people eat, finish off their share of food. Further on shifting focus to how the people’s hands are, at the end of a meal, struck coherence with the following analogy in my mind.

• All fingers draped – These are the set of people who have all their fingers dressed-up with food (mostly of the sorts of last consumed) and they are the type of people who would like to have a grab of anything that comes to their offing in life but may actually do/make-use-of that, uninterestedly. They do not seem to have the passion of enjoying whatever they do.
• All fingers clean – For a second, these people may give a picture as if they haven’t had a meal but on a closer introspection, one can notice that their deft lips and tongue have made their fingers clean (and maybe better than how it was, when they started). A variety of people fall in this category with the likes of those who thoroughly enjoy the experience of whatever they have, use or like in their lives, to those people who grab stuff (be it a company quarters, official travel, or even simply a friend’s treat and lots more) to utilize or enjoy it to the fullest at someone else’s expense.
• Few fingers draped – There are quite a handful of people, who make use of just few of their fingers as a compulsive, self-ascertained dining etiquette immaterial of how much they eat. These people are more of the self conscious type for whom their appearance and presentation of their own selves is next to being god. More often than not they choose not to do/have/use something that they like to, in the manner that it needs to be enjoyed/cherished because of “What if other may think…”, “What if I don’t look classy and decent?”  Sorts of questions pondering in their minds redundantly.
• Spoons in lieu of fingers – These kinds of people are a rare breed but yes they do indeed exist. They cannot subdue their practice of using cutleries for dining and, banana leaf meals are a no different ball game for them. They for sure end up as highlight elements for other meal-mates to giggle about, for the next few days.  They are interestingly a daring breed who stick to their principles and practices wherever they are and (most importantly) do not shy away from doing it in spite of the vulnerability involved of being laughed-at/commented/criticized. They are firm believers of what they do and are ready to debate endlessly justifying their actions, though it (their actions) may be out rightly out-of-place/unaccepted/refuted by many. 

With such a variety of ‘hand’some people around which one do you think you fall under..? or Are you totally a different unlisted genre?
